The Future of Screen Technology

I see this video as highly impossible in the time frame that they have chosen. The writer of this video believes that life will already be this advanced in 2014... That's only 3 years from now... i highly doubt this will happen. The video does make the idea of Stretching screens and quick sharing look very convenient, but it seems like it will have a lot of problems. Any time there is a new type of technology, there are always flaws that are found immediately. That would be my biggest fear with a new type of product like this.
The purpose of this video is to show how technology is predicted to advance in the near future. The guy in the video seems very at ease and understanding of the product. He looks as though it just makes his life easier. the product also shows that life will be a lot more connected socially. the simplicity of sharing by the move of a finger will make everyone more connected about a lot of things. whether its the news, photos, or just a simple alert. it doesn't look as if this is a phone, it seems more like an iPod of some sort. It all seems to relate back to a modern everyday lifestyle made simpler. This seems to be one of the ways the video promotes futuristic living. It shows simplicity through a visual of everyday life. The act of shutting off an alarm, or brushing your teeth, or even being at work. These are all things that people do everyday that could be made easier. The overall effect of this video is to show people the advances planned for technology to keep them buying. The companies don't want people to get bored with whats around, so they are going to continue making new products.
The depiction of the future from this video shows that today's society is majorly based on technology. the video shows how technology will just make everything even more technological and easier to use. the images used to manipulate peoples minds in this video are very simple and everyday things so people are easily pulled in.
